Monthly recurring gifts provide Bowdoin with a critically important, renewable source of gift revenue. We call our recurring gift society the Sundial Circle because it melds an iconic emblem of the College—the rising sun—with a time-keeping device that reliably measures a recurring event: the sun’s path across the sky.     

The Benefits to You

As a Sundial Circle donor, your gift is divided into manageable increments, which allows you to maximize the impact of your giving to the College while avoiding a large, one-time expense. And once you've set up your gift, you won’t receive any more solicitations for the remainder of the year.  

Setting up a recurring gift allowed us to simplify one small part of our lives, and it fit well with our personal budgeting process.  It took away the additional “to-do” of giving each year and, once implemented, we found that the monthly charge was easily managed.

You can establish a recurring gift with a contribution of as little as $5 per month. Monthly gifts can be made online. To establish a quarterly schedule (rather than a monthly one), please contact the Office of Annual Giving at 1-888-385-2254.
