Welcome Parents!
Whether this is your first child going to college, or your last, rest assured that we are busy preparing an excellent Orientation program for a smooth transition to college. Our 4-day program gives them with plenty of time to make new friends and get adequate rest, while also providing key events for the entire class that share important information about our community values and the academic rigors of life as an engaged student at Bowdoin. There are many thoughtful people ready and willing to share information, answer questions, and point students in the right direction for any support they may need.
There are plenty of rooms available in the Coastal Maine community should your travels include an overnight visit. Please use the links below for directions, accommodations and local restaurants.
An Important Note as you plan your travel to Brunswick: Parking and hotel space could be at a premium on the weekend of 8/26-28. On Saturday, August 27th, The Great State of Maine Air Show & Business Aviation Expo will be taking place in Brunswick on the grounds of the former Brunswick Naval Air Station. This event, featuring the Navy's Blue Angels, is expected to bring a large number of visitors to our area. We advise you to plan your travels with this in mind.
