Every student has a OneCard account set up on their card as soon as they receive it. Once you've deposited funds into your OneCard account, you can use it for pay for purchases all over campus:
Bowdoin OneCard Account balances roll over semester to semester, year to year. Any remaining balance when a student graduates is credited back to the student bill (or refunded if there is no outstanding bill).
Students can check their OneCard account balance and view recent transaction history at any time by using the Online account viewer, available on the OneCard website.
Students can add funds to their Bowdoin OneCard Accounts online using the Deposit funds to OneCard link on the OneCard website. Online deposits can be made via eCheck or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express).
Students may create an Authorised Payer account for parents to make deposits online. Authorized Payers should click on the Deposit funds to OneCard link, and from that page click the Authorized Payer link on the left-hand side of the page. Instructions for students and authorized payers are available for viewing and download by following the links on the right.
Individuals may also go in as a "Guest Payer" to make a payment without a login ID and password. Guest Payers should click on the Deposit funds to OneCard link, and from that page click the Guest Payer link on the left-hand side of the page. To make a deposit as a guest, you will need to know the student's First Name, Last Name, and Bowdoin ID number.
Cash can be deposited at any of the three automated cash deposit machines (CSVTs) on campus: Coles Tower, Hatch Science Library, Hawthorne-Longfellow Library. The CSVTs accept American twenty, ten, five and one dollar bills. Students with larger bills can bring them to the OneCard office during business hours to have them deposited onto the card. The OneCard office can take deposits via check. Checks can be dropped off in person or mailed to Bowdoin College, OneCard Office, 6075 College Station, Brunswick ME 04011-8451. Please specify the student's name and ID number on all mailed checks so that we credit the correct OneCard account.
Students or other individuals who would like to deposit to a student's OneCard Account may also call the OneCard Office at (207) 721-5199 to make a payment over the phone using a U.S. check or savings account, or credit card (Visa, American Exress, or MasterCard).
The Bowdoin OneCard Account is the ONLY payment method accepted at laundry facilities; the machines do not accept coins. See a list of all locations, report a problem with a machine, and more by visiting www.laundryview.com.
To reduce waste and encourage less paper usage, Bowdoin has adopted an "allocation, then charge" model for student printing and copying. Each semester, students receive a $60 credit - equivalent to 750 black-and-white, double-sided sheets. Once your semester's allocation is exhausted, print costs are debited from your OneCard account. To learn more about this new print plan, please refer to the Printing Allocation FAQ.
Your OneCard can be used at vending machines all across campus. (All vending machines on campus also accept cash.)
