How to handle employee separation

When an employee announces his or her intent to leave employment at the College, it is critical that the supervisor complete the appropriate termination form as soon as possible.  Timely processing of the termination form  provides various departments with information they need as the employee prepares to depart (e.g., terminate access to rooms and buildings, collect outstanding library resources, adjust benefits and advise of COBRA rights, etc.)   For additional guidance on what to do when an employee announces (s)he will be leaving the College, contact Human Resources and review the handbook section on Employee Separation
