Admissions

Decision letters for ED2 applicants will be released by mid-February.

Students with US addresses will receive their decisions by USPS. Students with non-US mailing addresses can expect decision notification by email.

To facilitate the application process, Bowdoin uses the Common Application.  (The Common Application is a service that allows students to complete one comprehensive application and send it to multiple colleges.  For more information, visit the Common Application website.) The 2011-2012 Common Application for First Years and Transfers is now available.

All applicants must also complete the Bowdoin Supplement, which includes a supplemental essay question. For more information on Bowdoin's application process, please review Bowdoin's Application Instructions.

Additionally, the following materials are to be completed as appropriate to your situation:

• Arts Supplement — for students who wish to demonstrate talent in the arts
• Home-schooled Supplement — for students who have been home-schooled at any point in their academic career
• International Student Supplement - for students who attend schools outside of the US
